Georgian Mahogany Dresser Mirror

Georgian Mahogany Dresser Mirror, circa 1800.

The dresser mirror had several areas of superficial damage including a worn finish to the top surface of the base, some loose cross-banded veneer around the mirror and a missing front foot.

The worn finish was revived with a French polish, whilst the loose sections of veneer were re-adhered with traditional hide glue. A new foot was constructed from mahogany to replace the missing foot.
